SEVENTH CONTEST: Simple Pleasure... *CLOSED*

Greetings, scribes!
Nice to be writing to you again... Guess what it's time for? Our seventh contest ever, of course! I know you're just terribly excited, considering the long wait and all after our last contest, so please try to contain your excitement. Gosh, get a hold of yourself-- I'll tell you what it's about in a second here.

Okay, so gloomy weather is setting in again due to the natural course of things. When the sun goes away it's time to batten down the hatches and get ready for stormy winter-- break out the sweaters, the scarves and the logs. We all start learning to rely on simple pleasures to substitute for sunshine, like a nice cup of coffee in the morning, a cozy pair of mittens, some smelly candles... And that's exactly what I want you to write about.

YOUR MISSION:
I want to read about your favorite simple pleasure at this time of year... Some small little thing that makes you incredibly happy-- whether that's oatmeal in the morning, your favorite breath mints, your pet, your favorite trashy tv show... and I want you to write a love letter to it. That's right-- a mushy, sweet love letter to that simple pleasure. Be creative. Think about it. Appreciate it. It can be quirky, cute, sentimental, romantic, funny-- think original.

RULES AND SO FORTH:

What you write about must be a simple pleasure of yours-- no one else'. Be personal.
Good grammar, as always, along with good spelling-- both are incredibly important for you to place.
It can be in letter form, or it can be a love poem addressed to your simple pleasure.
Make sure your piece ends up in Scribes-Are-Beckoned's CONTEST folder, pretty please! It would be a shame if your entry got lost in the mix.
